Ou palé Kréyol ? Do you speak Creole ?

Jodi le Créole !

Ah ! le joli parlé des Iles !

Etant des habitués de la Martinique , je me suis mise à apprendre le Créole.

Et bien, croyez moi ? ce n'est pas si facile que cela. Le Créole a une vraie grammaire et un vrai vocabulaire, des fois assez cocasse (voir le lien, j'ai donné quelques exemples assez rigolos).

As regulars of Martinique, I started to learn Creole. Well, believe me? it's not that easy. The Creole has a true grammar anda true vocabulary , sometimes quite funny (see the link, I gave a few examples verye funny). Not easy to understand for the people seaking Englih, sorry !

Ces deux petits facicules sont mes aides.

Il y a des exercices à faire avec les corrigés.

Malheureusement, la dernière fois à Fort-de-France (Fodfwèns), j'ai voulu acheter un dictionnaire, mais sans succès. Je viens de voir que je peux en trouver un sur fnac.fr, aussi pour parfaire mon vocabulaire, je vais me le commander.

These two small facicules are my aids. There are exercises to do with correct versions. Unfortunately, the last time in Fort-de-France (Fodfwans), I wanted to buy a dictionary, but without success. I just see that I can find one on fnac.fr, also to perfect my vocabulary, I'm going to order it.
A demain !

Why do you want to learn Creole? How many other languages do you know how to speak? I can speak English and some Spanish and some Japanese, but not fluent in them.

@ Abraham
I learn Creole because my husband and I go often to Martinique Island and I want to understand what the people tell when they speak creole. This language is a blend of english spanish, french and dutch.Black Slaves heard their masters speaking and they try to speak with they african accent. They invented some words from this blend.

Here is the translation of the link of this post :
I do not pretend you learn Creole, but I would like to talk about this who is not a dialect , but a true language with vocabulary, grammar and expressions.
The Creole is a blend of French, English, the Spanish and Dutch, but French is in the majority.
Those whom we pulled out of their native Africa "to slave" their souls and bodies have transposed the words and words they heard from their masters and supervisors Europeans settlers called the "zorey" with their African accent.
So phonetically that Creole was born and writing that followed is also phonetically, if I may say so.
The w expresses oueu and all letters terminal are spoken
This gives quite funny things like:

zéwo = zero
three = Twa (troisd) in french
four = kat (quatre)
eleven = wonz (onze)
fourteen = katoz (quatorze)
Good evening = bonswè (bonsoir)
road = lawout (route)
jam = konfiti (confiture)
shoulder = zépol 'épaule)
bubblebee = vonvon (frelon)
fruit = fwi
red beans = PWA wouj (pois rouges)
last night = yé oswè
dress = wob (robe)
Please = soupli (s'il vous plait)
sauce = lasos

Here are some examples. I have great respect for all these people and Creole language.
When you visit the Street "Casenègre" of the Brickwirks near Salt River, You feel your blood run cold and you have the shame of your life.
Every evening I learn a lesson, I do my exercises, I correctedthem , and the next day, I do it again and, unfortunately, am forced to go back because I can not remember what I learned the day before or 2 / 3 days before. But I do not discourage me, I'll get there. You wonder why I'm learning Creole? You will know within a few months.

Interesting, indeed. I hope you are successful and learn how to speak it and to understand it. I would have many problems learning a new language.

Since we don't go anywhere we don't have to learn how to speak a new language.

Good luck to you.

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your
articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.
Nevertheless imagine if you added some great images or
videos to give your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips, this website could definitely
be one of the very best in its niche. Great blog!

Hi! I know this is sort of off-topic but I needed to ask.

Does building a well-established website like yours take a lot of
work? I'm brand new to writing a blog but I do write in my journal every day. I'd
like to start a blog so I will be able to share my personal
experience and views online. Please let me know if you have any
kind of ideas or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers.
Appreciate it!
